American Airlines Flight 233 Diverts to San Juan, Electrical Odor in Cockpit
An American Airlines jet en route to Sao Paulo from Miami on Monday afternoon diverted to San Juan, Puerto Rico due to an electrical odor in the cockpit.
American Flight 233, a Boeing 767-300 aircraft with 198 passengers and a crew of 13, landed safely in San Juan at 5:08 PM AST.
American said the flight would remain in San Juan overnight while the plane is checked out. The flight is to resume Tuesday morning.
