ANA Jet Makes Emergency Landing at Naha, Mechanical Failure Newswire Newswire

An All Nippon Airways (ANA) Boeing 737 made an emergency landing this morning in Okinawa, Japan due to a mechanical problem.

‘The ANA Boeing 737 plane was from Fukuoka to Naha and the incident took place at around 9 a.m. as the pressure inside the cabin dramatically plunged in a height of 11,000 meters, according Japan’s Kyodo News Agency.

The jet dipped to about 3,000 meters to keep the pressure stable and made the emergency landing about one hour later in Naha airport, Kyodo said.

A total of 108 people, including six crew members, were on board and no one was injured in the accident, said the report, adding some passengers suffered pain inside their ears.’

The plane has been taken out of service to determine the cause.
