Bombardier announced that it has taken two separate orders for up to 16 of its CRJ regional jets.
Montreal-based Bombardier said the largest of the orders comes from CityJet in Ireland, which will assume another unnamed customer’s order for eight CRJ900 regional airliners and options for four more.
CityJet will operate the jets in the network of Sweden’s Scandinavian Airlines, Bombardier said.
At list prices, the deal is valued at $369 million for the eight aircraft, and would climb to $651 million if CityJet exercises its option for the additional aircraft.
Bombardier also said Friday that an unnamed but “long-standing” customer has placed a firm order for two CRJ700 jets. That deal is valued at $86 million at list prices.
