A Delta Airlines regional jet ran off the runway at Houston Hobby Airport Monday morning while the plane was taxiing for takeoff.

‘Delta Flight 4302 was scheduled to depart Hobby at 6 a.m. bound for Atlanta. But while taxing the pilot reported communication problems and notified the tower he was going to return to the gate.

That’s when it appears the plane cut a turn short and ended up in the grass.’

Passengers were taken off the plane and bussed back to the terminal.

The aircraft remained while the NTSB investigated.
