A Lion Air flight landing at Gorontalo, Indonesia yesterday overran the runway after hitting cows.

Pilots on Lion Air Flight 892 reportedly tried to steer around the cows after they landed in darkness but were unable to avoid them. One of the cows became stuck in the landing gear and took out the aircraft’s brakes and the jet ran off the end of the runway.

There were no injuries reported. The jet sustained minor damage.

There is no word on how the cows got there.
