Loganair Jet Hit by Laser on Approach to Donegal

A Loganair jet was hit by a laser last Sunday as it approached Donegal airport (Ireland) from Dublin.
Belfast Telegraph reports:
‘Three crew members and 18 passengers were on board flight BE6976 when the incident happened above the airport in Carrickfin, in the west of the county.
“The laser was observed by the flight crew as it approached Donegal, and they reported it to air traffic control, who passed on the information to the gardai,” a Loganair spokesman said.
“The incident took place during a critical phase of the flight when pilots are completing pre-landing checks and monitoring weather conditions.”‘
There were no reported injuries. No arrests have been made.
