A Thai Airways Boeing 777 flight blew a tire after landing at Auckland Airport this morning.

‘The plane landed safely at around 11.36am, and was greeted by police, the Fire Service, and ambulance services.

Northern Fire shift manager Jaron Phillips told Fairfax: “It was one scale lower from declaring a full emergency. It’s main gear on the starboard side had blown.”

Emergency crews are checking the plane.’

There were 286 people on board the flight.

There were no injuries reported.
