Ural Airlines Airbus A321 Strikes Localizer Antenna at Kazan Causing Damage

A Ural Airlines Airbus A321 jet struck the localizer antenna causing damage to the aircraft while on approach to Kazan Airport in Russia on Friday.
Ural Flight 3045 was on approach in limited visibility and preliminary reports indicate the jet was out of position and performed a ‘go-around’ when the incident occurred. The aircraft made a safe landing.
There were 200 plus passengers on the flight…no one was injured.
The damage consists of 4 holes near the tail of the aircraft.
An investigation has been launched.
